Richard Musgrave began his musical career in the early 1980s playing drums in British progressive and heavy rock bands such as Golgotha and Presence.

He later played with the more pop orientated Weather Box, playing drums and singing backing vocals on the band's only single "Deborah", made at Abbey Road.

It was not however until he stepped out from behind the drum kit with the formation of The Bewlay Brothers with Tim Bewlay of The Quireboys and Dog Kennel Hill that he began playing guitar and writing songs.

Later in the 1990s he continued to play live with Doghouse and The Red Room and began an ongoing recording project with Phil Coates (brother of The Real Tuesday Weld's Stephen Coates) called Queensville Wakes.

Throughout these years he worked as a session drummer and gigged supporting a variety of established rock and pop artists including The Eurythmics, Crowded House, The Godfathers, Wilko Johnson, Marillion, Ruby Turner, The Boomtown Rats and Midge Ure.

In 2015 he produced his daughter Holly Musgrave's first album, "Mercury Sunrise" and is currently working on new Queensville Wakes songs with  Phil Coates and co-producing with Holly her new album "Jouster" for release in June 2018.

He also teaches, paints strange things, listens to the radio and still eats too many Rice Crispies.

So now you know.
